How do I keep my standards high?

As part of keeping my standards high I’m pround to announce I’m now the latest member of the Master Photographer’s Association (MPA) to be awarded their exclusive “Certified Professional” status in Glasgow.

By submitting a comprehensive document detailing all of my business practices and systems, I’ve have now joined an elite group of professional photographers worldwide who have been assessed by the MPA.

The certification process involves an analysis of how MPA members deal with customers, and also checks to ensure that all the necessary health and safety policies are in place. By becoming a “Certified Professional Photographer”, my clients can be reassured that they will be looked after in a professional way.

What is the MPA?

The MPA is the premier qualifying body for professional photographers in the UK and introduced the Certification scheme to protect the public against rogue photographers who operate without insurance or health and safety measures. Paul Cooper, MPA director of qualifications said “It’s difficult for the public to know if they are booking a professional photographer to cover important events as anyone can buy a camera and trade as a photographer. By looking for the “Certified Professional” logo, and checking with the MPA, we’re aiming to provide a level of security that hasn’t existed before. By achieving Certified status Dawn Martin has shown that they operate their business professionally”.

And not only have passed the MPA’s high certification status I also won Photographer of the month with this beautiful image of little Noah.
