As a family photographer working in Glasgow, I know how meaningful it is to capture those special moments with your loved ones. Family portraits are more than just pictures—they’re a way to celebrate your connection and create memories that will be treasured for years to come. Having photos of your children displayed at home, especially ones with you in them, helps them feel loved and boosts their confidence.
Life moves quickly, and time with your family is something you can’t get back. That’s why booking a family photography session is so important. I know how busy life can be, but there’s no better time to make memories than right now. Children grow so fast, and the “perfect time” will always feel just out of reach. For family sessions, I recommend waiting until your little one is at least 6 months old and can sit up without support. In my Glasgow studio, you’ll have a choice of backdrops—light or dark—to suit your style, and I’ll guide you through capturing a variety of shots. We’ll do everything from individual portraits of your children to special moments with mum, dad, and the whole family together. You’ll also have access to my collection of dresses, props, and accessories to make your session unique.

What the Family Photoshoot offer includes:
- You will have full access to all backgrounds and props in the studio, so there’s no need to worry about props.
- Change of outfit/backdrop
- You have free parking available for your convenience.
- Best of all, there is no upfront payment for packages—instead, you can view your images first and then decide.
- Additionally, family and sibling photos are included in your photoshoot.
- Finally, you will receive a complimentary 8 x 6″ classic desk frame with an image of your choice from the session.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU BOOK?
STEP 1 – CONSULTATION
Ready to book your session? Contact me and we’ll start with a consultation either in your home, at my Glasgow studio or at your local coffee house. This is a no cost or obligation consultation, just a 30 minute meeting to sit down and chat about you, your partner, your children, your style, your ideas, what kind of photography you like, what locations you love, your budget and we’ll hatch a plan to capture all of that stuff in your session. Next, we’ll pick a suitable date and we’re ready to shoot your session.
STEP 2 – THE PHOTO SHOOT
This is the day of the portrait session. All of the planning we made during the consultation is pulled together and we’re ready to rock and roll. Prepare yourselves to have a fun time and be amazed at the results!
STEP 3 – PREVIEW & ORDERING SESSION
Around 5-7 days after your session you’ll come back to the studio and I’ll present your amazing portraits on the large screen. This will be the first time you’ll see your photographs, get some tissues ready cause you’re probably going to cry at these beautiful photographs (don’t worry it happens all the time).
This will be our final meeting and you will be presented with around 20 edited images from which we will slim down to your most favourite portraits. ALL decisions in regards to your portrait order are made at this session. The preview and ordering session takes about 1 hour to create and finalise your package and I’ll be there to help you make your choices. There are no pressure sales, it’s all worked out to fit your budget. Around 2-3 weeks later you’ll come back to collect your order and it’s time for you to share your fabulous family portraits displayed on premium artwork around your fantastic home.

When you choose to work with me, you can trust that I’ll always be available to answer any questions, whether by phone, email, or messenger. You’re never under any obligation to purchase additional images if you don’t wish to.
Furthermore, if you’re not completely happy with your final gallery, you’ll receive a full refund, and the shoot will have cost you nothing.

How much does a Family session cost?

How much are the photographs?

What should I wear?
Of course, you should wear what you feel most comfortable in. However simple, neutral colours such as greys, beige, browns, pale pinks etc. work best in photographs. We’ll discuss clothing during our consultation once you’ve booked.
Can you visit my home or have the children/family session outdoors?
Yes, of course, the home is a perfect location as it’s a familiar environment for you all. Outdoors sessions are great too; summer months are best for outdoors sessions.
What if I need to cancel?
There is a 48 hour cancellation policy. However i do understand that babies and children are prone to catching colds or becoming ill suddenly. I’ll do everything i can to reschedule your appointment to another day.
What happens after the session?
5-7 days after your session I will invite you back to the studio for a Preview and Ordering session. Your gallery will contain around 20 fully retouched images to view and I will help you decide on your favourites. Most of my clients value stunning artwork to hang on their wall, so each image has been edited and designed as a main focus piece. Take note that it is during this Preview and Ordering session that you will order and pay for any products, prints and packages. All major debit and credit cards are accepted.
